Need I say anything more…
Whenever I see a picture of a kid picking their nose I think of the trip to California when I was a kid we had multiple pictures through out the course of the trip and my brother had his finger in his nose – so funny!!
To top off the weekend I got to watch my guys playing. I love Gabe even more now since I have seen him with his son.
What a day. While Gabe worked, Jacob got his 9 month pictures. It used to be so easy to get a smile out of him but now he makes them work for it. He looks like a little pro football player in training – watch out Alex you have some competition!!
This evening was Drew’s birthday party. Talk about a ham. I have never seen a kid open so many presents in such a short amount of time. He even sang Happy Birthday the loudest too…to himself!
We brought the maracas so Jacob could give them to the cousins. He even wore his sombrero to hand them out, I didn’t get a picture snapped with him in it…but his daddy wore it…may have to head back to Mexico so Gabe can have one for himself and he can stop stealing Jacob's.
Mick was sportin a new buzz cut so I figured it was fitting to snap a new sibling picture…nice head tilt Marci – very subtle.
Emmers was in heaven with her “Baby Ache”. Both Emmers and Jake were handing out hugs and kisses and at one point Emmers sat on Jake’s lap – never mind the fact she is a year older. Soooo cute!!!
Alex was showing off his new birthday jersey – I can’t wait to give him our gift – he will LOVE IT!!!
Gracie lost a tooth at the party, if she looses any more I am not sure how she will be able to eat. 
Some how Gabe snuck in a pic of Kathy and Me – not bad for ambush shots!
When Friday falls on the 13th in the fall I get a spooky eerie feeling. I don't want to be outside at night as all the scary things will be out to torment me. It wasn't too scary for Gabe, he only had to work 3 hours today. It has been really great with all the extra help this week I am not feeling as stressed as usual. What to do with all this free time…
While Mommy and Daddy were hard at work Jacob was with Grandma. Over dinner Jacob was talking up a storm filling us in on his play date at Aunt Marci's.
When I hear all the fun stories it makes me sad that I can't be a stay at home mom and experience all those moments with him. Being a working mom is a very difficult thing. At times you feel you aren't giving all you can at work as you are thinking about your little one. Then when I see how fast Jacob is growing I get sad that I can't be there every step of the way helping him and sharing in all the firsts. I hope he realizes I am doing all I can and won't be regretful later in life that his mommy worked.
Little Jakester got to share today with his Uncle Scotty. My oldest brother turned the big 3-6 today. No matter how old I get he will always be older!! :o)
Jacob has found while he is standing up that his feet can take him places. It is still a learning experience as he shimmys along the furniture. At times there are missteps and stumbles. We do our best to baby proof and be there to catch him but we can't be there all the time. The poor little guy was like a pin ball today falling and bumping into furniture. There are going to be a few bruises today.
Gabe was home today and helped out so much with Jacob today. He even took Jacob for his 9 month checkup. Jacob was 17 pounds 13 ounces(25th percentile), 27 3/4 inches (30th percentile). I even was able to get a massage today. Gabe didn't stop there, he made a fabulous dinner - Steak Roulade - SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!! All in all today was a good day. Thanks Gabe for helping me out on your day off.
Little Drew Dude turned 3 today. What a big boy!!! Hope you had a fabulous birthday and can't wait for your party this weekend.
When I pulled up after work I was so surprised to see the house all dark. Normally I get in long after Gabe gets home with Jacob. Today I crossed the finish line first. In fact I had fed and let the dogs out before Gabe & Jacob pulled in. It was a quick dinner, baths and cuddles and then bedtime already. Vacation is definitely over and we are back to the daily grind.
Gabe was the smart one and took another vacation day, why didn't I. My hopes were it would be an easy day, instead I was busy, busy, busy. It does make the day fly by. I was glad I got to spend it at home. Jacob needed Mommy and Daddy to be home even if it meant we couldn't give him all of our attention. He had been spoiled with both of us around for the last 5 days. I wish we could do that everyday.
